AI Safety · Fintech · Applied Econometrics

I am an empirical researcher working on AI capability evaluations, the economics of AI, and financial technology. I hold a PhD in FinTech from the University of Central Lancashire and work as a Business Analyst at BAE Systems. My research uses panel econometrics to answer questions about technology and firm performance: my thesis introduced the FinTech Infrastructure Score, a composite measure of national fintech infrastructure, and I co-authored The Future of Global Fintech (Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance & World Economic Forum), presented at Davos 2025.

On the methodological side, my interests include panel data, causal inference, and composite index construction. On the applied side, my current work asks how the capabilities of frontier AI models are evaluated and how AI’s economic impact can be measured well. I completed BlueDot Impact’s Technical AI Safety programme and publish research notes here and on LessWrong.
